May Meeting
Breathe Easy welcomed Sarah Ellison from the Westminster Well at Home scheme at westminster Council, to let members know how they can get some jobs done around the house, including changing lightbulbs and putting up shelves. Sarah Ellison is in the middle of the bottom row, and the group is supported by Cassie, their nurse, on the top left.
Official Launch
BE Paddington officially launched on 18 April. It was a brilliant event with over 25 people attending, with a superb spread of food supplied by Age Concern to compliment their beautiful premises. Guests included Lady Christabel Flight and Westminster Age Concern Chief Executive Benn Keaveney. Benn popped into reassure the group that BE Paddington would always be welcome on their premises for their monthly meetings. John Townsend, Chair of BE Paddington, gave Cassie Lee, COPD Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist, their greatest thanks for founding and supporting the group over the last 5 years while Cy Jaffe, Vice Chair, got everyone laughing in BE Paddington regular laughter yoga session!
Breathe Easy Week
BE Paddington member Maria Johnston organised a 1 mile sponsored walk around Queen's Park Court on 19 June. There was also plenty of fun activities for all the family, including a bouncy castle, a cake stall, a bric-and-brac stall, a tombola and a raffle. Maria successfully completed the walk and a whopping £1369 was raised by the group throughout the day.
