More about the group
Breathe Easy Hackney are quite a new group. An Information Day was held on 4 March (pictured oppostie). It was a great afternoon with lots of interesting speakers and those that came were very keen for it to become a Breathe Easy Group.
Since then, Breathe Easy Hackney has developed to become a relatively small but very friendly group of people that meet once a month to chat and support each other, have a talk on something interesting and relevant, a raffle and a cup of tea and some cakes. Anyone affected by a lung condition is welcome to join us, including carers, family and friends.

Another successfull World COPD Day in Hackney!
Members of Breathe Easy Hackney supported events run by the local respiratory team in Homerton Hospital and their local Morrison’s to raise awareness of COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).
Nearly 100 spirometry tests were carried out on the day – an important breathing test that helps to indicate whether breathlessness could be caused by COPD. As well as setting a lot of people’s minds at rest, a number of referrals were made, allowing people to get help where they need it.
Breathe Easy Members, health care professionals, representatives from the British Lung Foundation and the Smoking Cessation Service were all on hand to answer questions from the public and a ver fun day was had by all.
