More about the group

World COPD Day
On World COPD Day, group members gathered at Wycombe General Hospital in order to offer patients coming through advice and support about both the BLF and Breathe Easy. They worked together with the local Stop Smoking Team, who offered advice on how to quit, as well as the respiratory nurses, who offered lung function testing to people visiting the stand.
Happy 16th Birthday to Breathe Easy Buckinghamshire
Breathe Easy Buckinghamshire celebrated 16 years together on the 11th July by going for a cream tea. All the members had a wonderful time and enjoyed the fantastic cake. To see all the photos of the day visit our flikr site.
Breathe Easy find their sea legs while others find there walking boots
As part of Breathe Easy Week, Breathe Easy Buckinghamshire had their annual boat trip, from Marlow to Henley on Saturday 4th June. It was a glorious day and enjoyed by all of our members. Six local school girls from Wye Valley School in Bourne End did a sponsored walk from Marlow to Henley (9 Miles) then returned by the Boat. They were helping to raise funds for Breathe Easy. With sponsorships, collection tins and a raffle we made £500 on this event. Thanks to all the girls who did the sponsored walk and all the other walkers for raising awareness of our cause. You can see more photos by going to our flikr site!
Sugar-Filled puddings!
On 12 April Breathe Easy Buckinghamshire had an Easter Lunch at the Papermill in Loudwater. It was well attended, everyone loved the lunch and most finished the lunch with a sugar- fillled pudding. As usual there was a raffle with lots of goodies.
Soup Kitchen
BE Buckinghamshire had a ‘Soup Kitchen’ with a great turnout of members, lovely food (especially a homemade christmas cake) and a super raffle (a big thank you to all who gave so generously!) All this made for a very fitting final meeting for another successful and enjoyable year for the group.
