More about the group

In October 2011 Ian McPherson group Chair attended an event which he has written a short piece about below:

Brian Clark Breath of Life Fund

Bournemouth Brass Band ConcertOn Saturday evening, 15th October, my wife and I were privileged to attend The Wessex Military Band in Concert at Wareham Upper School in aid of the BLF and I am pleased to say that this was to a packed house and was a thoroughly enjoyable occasion, for a worthwhile cause.

The programme consisted everything from the Military March and Johann Strauss through to a lighthearted romp through Abba, Including " Mamma Mia" excerpts. At the end of the concert there was an appearance from the Ringwood Pipe Band with favourites such as "Scotland the Brave" and "Amazing Grace", with a resounding conclusion from all musicians of "Land of Hope and Glory" and "God Save the Queen"

A really good night!

After the concert I met with the widow and daughter of Brian Clark , who expressed appreciation at the presence of someone representing the BLF, and there was a photoshoot before we dispersed.
