Breathe Easy Week

Held a Breathe Easy Week event at Mecca Bingo in Hartlepool together with the BLF Nurses, Dorothy and Donna, assisted by the Smoking Cessation Team and Breathe Easy members. They provided opportunistic lung function testing (spirometry) and advice about lung health and tested 54 people of which 17 were male and 37 female; the youngest person was aged 22 years. Of all those tested 23 people (43%) had an abnormal test and were advised to visit their GP for further investigation.
