New group Breathe Easy Durham Dales was launched in Bishop Auckland on World COPD Day. The group will be supported by Caroline Dinsdale BLF respiratory nurse and Durham Dales Practice Based Commissioning Group. From January, the group will meet on the first Thursday of each month

Breathe Easy Durham Dales
Breathe Easy Durham Dales were officially launched by the Mayor of Bishop Auckland, Cllr John Lethbridge in August, pictures above right with Harry Brown, Chairman of the group. The Mayor spoke of his personal experience of lung disease and family history of mining. Vikki Bailey, Respiratory Programme Manager for NHS North East, gave an interesting presentation and Bev Wears, BLF Support & Development Manager, gave an introduction to the charity. The group was awarded a start up grant by Durham Dales GP commissioning group and is supported by their BLF Respiratory Specialist Nurse, Caroline Dinsdale.
