HISTORIAN RAISES THE ROOF
Breathe Easy Aire Valley hosted an evening with Local Historian Ian Dewhirst MBE on 25th April 2012. The event was held at Trinity Church, Keighley and Ian gave a light informative and very humorous talk on “Local life between the Wars”. Everyone had the chance to enjoy some home made cakes, tea/coffee and a staggering £450 was raised towards the purchase of a portable spirometer machine for the respiratory unit at Airedale General Hospital. Members thanked Ian for supporting our charity The British Lung Foundation.
Coffee Morning - Jigsaws/Books sale
Sincere thanks go to the Friends in Action group from the Trinity Church, Fell Lane, Keighley for their support in raising funds for Breathe Easy Aire Valley a local respiratory support group, part of the British Lung Foundation. On the 14th October the ladies held a busy coffee morning together with sale of books and jigsaws and managed to raise the grand total of £175 which was handed to Audrie Payne, a member of Breathe Easy Aire Valley. Audrie explained that this money would help to support the group who are currently hoping to purchase a new portable spirometry machine for Airedale Hospital, Keighley, helping all with a respiratory illness.
