The group meeting follows two exercise classes which take place every Thursday 9.30-11.00 and 11.00-12.30.

BOFAA Winner
Congratulations to BE Malvern & Worcester who have received a 2010-11 Breath of Fresh Air Award for Outstanding Contributions to BLF Projects. Over the year, the group donated £1,500 towards research projects and £1,000 towards the BLF nurses scheme. Geoff Cumbley (Chair) was presented with the award by Jeremy Bacon (Midlands Support and Development Manager) at the Solihull network meeting.
World COPD Day
Breathe Easy Malvern & Worcester were joined by Senior Nurse, Elaine Bevan-Smith at St Andrews Methodist Church, to celebrate World COPD Day 2011. Elaine offered lung function tests to members of the public, and she saw about 25 people during the course of the day. Breathe Easy members were on hand to offer refreshments and to provide information about the group.
Awareness Stand
The Ledbury Carnival was a big affair, with stalls stretching into the distance and a cavalcade of floats. BE Malvern & Worcester were joined by members of BE Hereford to raise awareness of lung conditions and Breathe Easy. Lots of people came to talk to the volunteers about their illnesses, and the groups also raised £60 by selling books and cards.
Breathe Easy Week
BE Malvern & Worcester held a collection at a Co-op store in Worcester to celebrate Breathe Easy Week. The group managed to raise £405.00 over the 17 and 18 June.
Birthday donation for BE Malvern & Worcester
Breathe Easy Malvern & Worcester have recently been presented with a generous donation from one of their members.
Peggy Prue celebrated her 80th birthday at a party arranged by her husband Peter, where Peggy presented the group with a donation of £270.

Children's Charter Campaign
Breathe Easy Malvern & Worcester held a children's party to 
mark the launch of the BLF Children’s Charter campaign. The children enjoyed an afternoon of party games and food and helped with a photo opportunity for the local newspapers.
