More about the group
This group was set up in 2001 to meet an identified need in the Causeway locality. This is the longest established Breathe Easy Group in Ireland. A vibrant group with outstanding campaigning and fundraising achievements (£150,000) since inception which enabled the group to fund a BLF Nurse in Northern Health and Social Services Trust in 2009, jointly fund a Development Officer for NI with BLF in 2010 and also purchased various pieces of respiratory equipment for use in local Health Centres with GPs and practice Nurses.
This group is supported by local Healthcare Professionals who offer advice on drug management, improved breathing techniques, physical exercise, aids to improve quality of life, healthy eating.
Smoking cessation specialist is available to offer advice and support to those smokers motivated to stop smoking.
Most of all joining this group can provide you, a member of your family or carer with information to help improve your understanding of your lung condition.
Breathe Easy Causeway provides mutual support by sharing experiences with people in similar circumstances.

Causeway help fundraise
Causeway Breathe Easy members joined the organiser Colin Gault and Heather McKay to help serve soup and rolls at a very successful fundraising initiative at Finvoy Vintage Rally. A cheque for £600 was presented to the Causeway group last week.
