Lung testing events

The British Lung Foundation COPD team campaigns locally throughout the UK with the aim of finding the ‘missing millions’ of undiagnosed people in the UK living with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).

The campaigns are named ‘Love Your Lungs’ and specifically target the COPD ‘hotspots’ identified in the pioneering British Lung Foundation 2007 ‘Invisible Lives’ report. The report has been crucial in highlighting the scale of the UK's COPD problem.

The campaigns are held in targeted areas and offer free breathing tests which screen lung function in members of the public. The events also promote awareness of COPD, its symptoms, the ease with which people can check their lung health, and help to highlight the variety of support available locally and nationally.
