The British Lung Foundation has a team of over 150 runners taking part in the Virgin London Marathon 2012 to raise money to support people living with a lung condition - we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make the day a success and spur our runners on when the going gets tough!

Choose a time & location…
- 10.30am – 12.15pm (Cheering point 1 – Marathon Mile 11 – Rotherhithe station)
- 11.30am – 2.15pm (Cheering point 2 – Marathon Mile 19 - Canary Wharf station)
- 12.00pm – 4.00pm (Cheering point 3 – Marathon Mile 25 – Embankment station)
Whatever time you can spare - come along for an hour or two, or all day – it’s up to you!
Volunteer Role
To join one of our cheering teams along the London Marathon route! All volunteers will be given a British Lung Foundation branded T-Shirt to wear on the day and cheering materials, the main task for volunteers is to cheer as loudly as possible!
You are welcome to bring friends and family along to join in the fun too! We need as many people as possible so it really is a case of the more the merrier! Race day is great fun and the atmosphere is inspiring! *Please let us know if you are bringing others with you. Any volunteers under the age of 16 are to be accompanied by an adult.
Brief
All volunteers will be fully briefed ahead of the event and given the name and number of 1 person as the main point of contact for the day. Refreshments will be provided.
