Each year, the British Lung Foundation is pleased to hold its flagship campaign ‘Breathe Easy Week. During the week-long campaign, Breathe Easy groups get involved by holding awareness raising stands to promote lung health, help perform lung function testing on members of their community and promote the activities of the BLF.
Breathe Easy week 2012
Breathe Easy week 2012 will take place between Monday 18 June and Sunday 24 June 2012.
Breathe Easy week 2011
Breathe Easy Week 2011 took place between Monday 13 June and Sunday 19 June 2011. The theme was to raise awareness of a condition called obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). As part of the week the BLF launched a national sleep survey to find out more about OSA and the problems experienced by people with the condition. We also launched the online pictorial Epworth test - this will not tell you if you have OSA, but, depending on your results, you may be advised to seek further advice.
Many Breathe Easy groups held talks, teas, quiz nights and many other activities. Thank you to everyone who supported the campaign.
Last year, the BLF launched its Children’s Charter campaign during Breathe Easy Week. Breathe Easy members helped raise awareness of the dangerous effects passive smoke has on children. Breathe Easy members also helped the BLF collect signatures for our petition calling for smoking in cars carrying children to stop - so why not find a group near you and join in?
