BLF Services Awards and Research

BLF Services is delighted to be the winner of two Data Strategy Awards 2009.

The first was for the best use of research data by a charity and the second was the Grand Prix award, making the charity the overall winner of the awards.

The British Lung Foundation worked with Experian to identify where people were most likely to live with undiagnosed chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in the UK. The charity and Experian did this by using hospital admission data, combined with lifestyle data, to create a model for how many people at risk of COPD could be found in each Primary Care Trust.
