Breathe Easy Liverpool North

Breathe Easy Liverpool North received an excellent talk on 2nd April 2008 from Steve Callaghan from the Liverpool PCT, about the effects that the weather has on our health and always has a successful turnout whenever he is the guest speaker.

Andy Burnham Steph Davies from Laughology who specializes in the development of humour techniques gave a talk to the group on 2nd May at Fazakerly Memorial Hall, which helps us to cope with the stresses and strains of everyday living and working. Steph asked everyone to take part in a couple of games from the groups’ childhood and had everyone roaring with laughter. It was interesting to learn that children laugh on average 400 times every day, whilst adults average less than 20! The use of humour among people who suffer from chronic illness, is now accepted by many medical practitioners as a very valuable tool in the treatment of patients who suffer from depression.

On Friday 6th June Constable Keith Winstanley, the Crime Prevention Officer for North Liverpool gave a talk to the group pointing out simple ways and means that don’t cost a fortune to keep ourselves and our homes safe.
