Ashley Green - Support and Development Manager
I joined the BLF in 1999 and have since held 5 different posts in the organisation including Development Officer, Breathe Easy Assistant Manager, Campaigns & Policy Officer and most recently Support & Development Manager for the London & South region. I have been working with patients and Breathe Easy members for almost 10 years and have been involved in pioneering patient events such as the BLF Lung March, World COPD Day, campaigns for oxygen and pulmonary rehabilitation, health professional symposia, national & regional Breathe Easy conferences and I have helped to influence both the COPD and TB NICE guidelines.
In my spare time I like to keep fit and challenge myself - which over the years has included abseiling, military assault courses, running 10k, undertaking a triathlon and finally last year I cycled from London to Paris all in aid of the British Lung Foundation.

Hannah Tucker - Development Officer for the South East
I joined the BLF in January 2008 as Development Officer for the South East, covering Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and Kent. Prior to this, I worked for children’s disability charity Whizz-Kidz as well as with
Millennium Volunteers. I have been a volunteer with several different organisations including in a hospital and with a council for voluntary services. Since joining the BLF I have enjoyed getting to know all the Breathe Easy groups in the South East area.
Having studied for an English degree at York, I spend a fair amount of my spare time reading (mainly fiction and history) but also play the piano rather badly. I have recently taken up skiing, and I am a keen runner, with two half-marathons under my belt and aiming for a whole marathon before too long – it’s my way of getting breathless!

Clair Evans - Development Officer for the East of England
Hello – I’m Clair the Development Officer for the East of England. My patch is a fantastic mix of town, rural and seaside groups which all present me with very different challenges. They are also in PCTs with very different levels of respiratory care. I support about 25 Breathe Easy groups and am always pleased to look into areas where there could be interest for a new one.
I have worked in charities for the last 5 years with stints at both Scope (for people with cerebral palsy) and Turning Point (for people with drug and alcohol problems) but both were office-based jobs and I was very pleased to get a job where I was working directly with the people that matter. I also volunteer as a trustee for a small charity that runs an activity centre for kids and teenagers with learning disabilities and also get involved in other local projects.
As many of my groups know my first passion is my allotment and I love nothing better than losing myself amongst my spuds. I try not to talk about it incessantly, but it’s not easy. Cooking comes second and pretending to be chef is my preferred activity on a rainy day.

Liz Ryan - Regional Administrator
Hi, my name's Liz and I am the new Regional Administrator for the London and South area. If you call in to the office then I will probably be the nice lady at the other end of the line answering any questions that you have! I also support the Development Officers from the office and get to come out to group meetings and events every now and again and will soon be getting stuck in organizing the BLF Annual London & South Conference as well as various other events throughout the year.
I haven't worked in the charity sector long but have wanted to for a long time and have been really enjoying it so far. A bit before working at the BLF, I spent a year working voluntarily in Romania, which included teaching English and various instruments and supporting young people from orphanages with learning difficulties. It was a challenging but absolutely fantastic year! If you ever fancy going there on holiday then I would be more than happy to tell you about all the great places to visit!
When I'm not working I'm quite often involved with my local church, helping with the youth or in the band. I also like walking up mountains, chilling out with friends, listening to music and playing the piano and drum kit mainly.
