NHS Quality Improvement Scotland to begin work on clinical standards for COPD

In a follow-up announcement to the news that NHS Quality Improvement Scotland is to develop clinical standards for COPD, NHS QIS has told the British Lung Foundation Scotland and Northern Ireland that, following a restructuring of their workload, they are now to begin their work on this project immediately.

NHS QIS develops standards that inform the public about the level of care they should expect, reviews the quality and safety of healthcare services against those standards, and advises NHS Scotland on the effectiveness of healthcare treatments.
