Sabah Zubaida has had a career in the investment banking industry spanning over thirty years. During this period, he was involved in running trading operations and in building infrastructure of a banking operation. He has particular interest in risk management and corporate governance.
1976 – 1989: Wood Gundy Inc (currently CIBC World Markets)
Started as graduate trainee and later on board member and head of the fixed income operations in Europe
1989 – 2007: Mizuho International plc (formerly IBJ International plc)
Head of fixed income operations in Europe and since 1995 was Chief Operating Officer of the bank. From 2005 - 2007, advisor to the Chief Executive on a part time basis
2008 – Present: Chief Operating Officer of Aladdin Capital Management UK LLP
A US fund manager of alternative assets and boutique investment bank
2010 – Present: Non-executive director of Aladdin Management Company Ireland Limited A fund manager of credit funds
